Your customers
The customers list, one customer's whole history, and the difference between someone with an account and a guest.
This screen answers one question: who buys from me, and how much? It is built from your orders — every email that has ever ordered becomes one row.

The list#
It is headed Customers, and underneath it says "Everyone who has placed an order, by total spent" — which is exactly what it is. Your best customer is at the top.
- Customer — their name, with their email underneath.
- Phone and City — taken from their most recent order.
- Orders — how many times they have bought.
- Total Spent — everything they have spent, added up. Cancelled orders are left out, so this figure is honest.
- Last Order — when they last bought something.
The search box takes a name, an email or a phone number — type any part of it.
The top of this list is your best customers, and the Last Order column tells you which of them has gone quiet. Those two columns together are worth more than any report — a discount code to twenty people who bought from you before beats an advert to strangers.
Opening one customer#
Click a customer's name. You get their whole history on one page:
- Contact — email, phone and address, taken from their latest order.
- Summary — Total Orders and Total Spent, in two big boxes.
- Order History — every order they ever placed, with its date, how many items, its stage and its total. Click any order number to open that order.
This is the page to have open when a regular customer phones. Their address is right there, and so is every order they are likely to be asking about.
Accounts and guests#
A shopper can buy from you in two ways, and both end up on this list.
| Question | With an account | As a guest |
|---|---|---|
| What they do | Sign up on your website with an email and password. | Just fill the checkout form and pay. No sign-up. |
| What they get | My Orders on the website — they can see all their past orders and track them. | The tracking link for that one order. |
| On this list | Yes. | Yes — exactly the same. Their email is what identifies them. |
Buying as a guest is allowed by default, and that is usually right — forcing people to sign up loses sales. If you want to require an account before anyone can check out, that is a switch in your storefront settings.
Because this list is grouped by email, one person who orders twice with two different email addresses shows up as two customers. Nothing is broken — the email is the only thing that can be relied on to say "this is the same person".
Counter sales are deliberately not on this list. A walk-in customer usually has no email, so every till sale would collapse into one blank "customer" and ruin the figures. Those sales are all in Orders, with a Counter pill.
