This explains what happens to information that reaches us — from this website, from the dashboard, and from a shop we run for a client.

When you use this website
If you send the contact form we keep what you typed: your name, your business name if you gave one, your email, your phone if you gave one, and your message. It is used to reply to you and nothing else.
We do not sell it, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to anyone. Ask us and we will delete it.
This site sets no tracking cookies. The one cookie it may set remembers which language you chose to read the documentation in.
When you run a shop with us
Your shop's information — your products, your orders, your customers, your settings — lives in a database of its own, separate from every other shop we run.
We can see it, because we host it and because you will eventually ask us for help with something in it. We do not use it for anything else.
Your dashboard sets a cookie so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
When you buy from a shop we host
The shop you bought from is the business you dealt with, and your order belongs to them. We hold it on their behalf.
If you paid by card, the card details went straight to Stripe on Stripe's own page — they never pass through our servers and we never see them. Cash on delivery and bank transfer are settled with the shop directly.
To have your details removed, ask the shop you bought from.
Who else is involved
The database is hosted with MongoDB Atlas, and the site itself on Vercel. Card payments are handled by Stripe. Pictures are stored with Cloudinary. Email is sent through a mail provider.
A shop owner can add Google Analytics or a Meta Pixel to their own shop. If they do, that shop's visitors are counted by Google or Meta under their terms, not ours. This website itself runs neither.
How long things are kept
A deleted product, category or order goes to a recycle bin for 30 days first, so a mistake can be undone. After that it is gone.
Backups of a shop are kept so it can be put back after an accident.
Enquiries from this website are kept until they are dealt with, or until you ask us to delete them.
Asking us about your information
Ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion, and we will do it. Use the contact form on this site.
