Welcome

What this dashboard is, what you can do with it, and how to read this guide.

You have been handed a login for your shop's dashboard. This guide starts from there. Read it from the top and you will be signed in, you will know what every part of the screen does, and you will know what to do first.

What this dashboard is#

You have two things, not one. Your website is the shop your customers see and buy from. The dashboard is the back office — only you and your staff can open it, and everything you change there shows up on the website.

You never have to touch any code. Everything in this guide is a form you fill in or a button you press.

What you can do from here#

  • Add the things you sell, with photos, prices and how many you have in stock.
  • See every order that comes in, and mark it as packed, shipped or delivered.
  • See who your customers are and what they bought.
  • Run discounts — coupon codes, time-limited sales, and offers on the homepage.
  • Change how the website looks: colours, fonts, the homepage, the menu, the footer.
  • Write blog posts, if your shop has the blog turned on.
  • Give your staff their own logins, each with only the access they need.
  • See what sold, what is running low, and how much money came in.

What your provider looks after#

The company that built your shop keeps a few things in their hands. Some designs are locked, so you can see them but not switch to them. Some whole areas can be turned off for your shop if you do not need them.

So do not worry if a screen in this guide is missing from your dashboard, or if a design has a small lock on it. It is not broken — it is simply not switched on for your shop. Ask your provider if you need it.

How to read this guide#

  • Every page is written in both English and Roman Urdu. Read whichever is easier for you — both say exactly the same thing.
  • Grey trails like the one below are the exact buttons on your screen, in order. They are always in English, because that is what is printed on the screen.
  • Numbered steps are meant to be done in order, one after the other.
  • Coloured boxes are worth stopping for — especially the red ones, which warn you about losing work or money.

Nothing here breaks by being clicked. Deleted products, categories and orders go to the Recycle bin first, so a wrong click can be undone. Take your time and look around.
